Best attractions in Fort Lauderdale

Take a water taxi on the New River and the Intracoastal Waterway to see the beautiful waterside mansions and view the city from a different perspective. Fort Lauderdale beach with its famous Strip is one of the most popular in the eastern US, and was the original Spring Break destination.

Since the end of the 1980’s Spring Break is less of an issue and the Strip now attracts a more upmarket clientele to its many bustling bars and restaurants on Las Olas Boulevard. However, you can still visit the Elbo Room which was featured in the film ‘Where the Boys Are’ in the 1960’s and was one of the original Spring Break bars. Be sure to visit Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop; it is a massive indoor market with the biggest, 13 screen drive in movie complex in the country, or enjoy the relaxing life on the ocean wave with a sailing trip.
