With a long coastline, Florida is eminently suitable for people who love water, beaches and water sports. Apart from that, Florida has a temperate coastal climate that is conducive to wearing your nice summery clothes and get some sun tan. Florida is a peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Straits of Florida and the Atlantic Ocean.
It is near the Caribbean as well. It has nature preserves, offers golfing attractions, has many parks and wildlife, theme parks and even some historic villages, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries.
Florida is reachable by air, by local and international airlines. It has international airports in Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Sanford. There are also many other smaller regional airports.
Flying time from Europe to Florida directly will take around eight hours. Florida is also well connected by rail – the Amtrak Silver Star and Silver Meteor Service runs on the eastern side from New York and passes through Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and other places to reach Miami. In the U.S. it is also easily accessible by major highways.

Best Travel Time for Florida
The best time to visit Florida is from the middle of December to the middle of April. As this is peak season, this the time that most tourists visit, so hotel room rates are quite high.
You can pay between $100 and $250 per night at a premium luxury or boutique hotel, though if you book early enough, you may be able to get good rates. Rates also depend on which part of Florida you go to as Florida is a big state. Off season rates are much lower.
