Along with Newport Beach, Laguna Beach enjoys the warmest water in Southern California with water temperatures ranging from a minimum of 55 to 61F in February to 64F in May and 72F in August. Best time to Visit Laguna Beach

The warm, sunny, typically Mediterranean climate and almost guaranteed daily sunshine, along with temperatures of approximately 67F in February, rising to 79F in August and September, make Laguna Beach great for vacations at any time of year. The most popular times to visit are from May to September, and there are 22 sandy beaches to choose from, all with exceptional facilities. Main beach has lifeguards on patrol and there are often beach volleyball games to watch or take part in.

Three Arched Bay with its carved cliffside rock pools was created in the 1920’s and is an iconic feature of the shoreline. The water is perfect for swimming, and water sports equipment can be hired locally. Laguna Beach is easy to reach from Pacific Coast Highway (PCH1), which links travelers with Los Angeles and San Francisco and their international airports.
